OK 74 Washita River, Garvin Co.

Built in 1950, these photographs show the OK 74 bridge near Maysville. This bridge has two through truss spans, as well as two steel stringer approaches at either end. The two truss span each measure 210 feet and 140 feet, with the shorter being the north span. This bridge features a wide 28-foot deck and has an overall length of 457 feet.

Above, this zoomed shot shows the 140-foot span as well as details on the 210 span. Note the lack of a horizontal nominal strut in the center panel of the 140-foot span. The spans are heavily built, and both have extra reinforcing plates added to the endposts. Below, a final view of this well-crafted structure from the south.
