US 60 Bridge across the Verdigris River, Nowata Co.

The collection of photographs above and below are of the six spans that carry US 60 across the Verdigris river in Nowata County. This bridge was built in 1955, making it new, as truss bridges go. In design, this bridge is very similar to the OK 51 bridge across the same river. Like that bridge, this one consists of a 200' K-Parker truss and five Pony truss spans, three west of the main span; and two east. The bridge has full 12' driving lanes and wide curbs.
