Snake Creek Bridge, Tulsa Co.

This attractive bridge, with its steel grate decking and fancy portal, is located on 201st. Street South 1/2 mile east of Memorial Drive. It is approx. 130 feet in length and is 7 panels.

Above, the plaque, giving the year the bridge was built, 1909, and the name of those instrumental in getting the bridge built.

Below, a back-view of the portal. The way in which the knee-braces are treated is very reminiscent of the corner brackets on the posts of  porches found on Victorian homes.

Below, the bridge makes a stately silhouette against the mid-day winter sky.
