OK 101 Lee Creek, Sequoyah County

Built in 1948 by Oklahoma Paving Co., this 210-foot long Parker/K-truss span is unusual for it narrow width for the date built, only 18 feet between curbs. The photo above should give a good idea of the massiveness of this bridge-it is heavily built. Below, a view along side the bridge.

Above, this underside view also shows the abutment of an earlier bridge. This is very characteristic of construction practice at the time-all evidence of previous structures was not totally obliterated during the construction or pre/post construction demolition work.
