Bull Creek Bridge, Pittsburg County.

Built in 1928, this riveted Warren pony truss carries a paved county road east of Scipio. Above, a view through the span. At 53 feet long, this span has 6 panels and an 18 foot wide deck. Below, a side view. This is a highway commission standard design bridge, used for both county and highway roads in the 1920's. Note also the old-style lattice railings.

Above, another side view. a unique feature of this bridge is its stringer-less concrete deck. Below, deck view of the truss Because nearly half of the truss is below he deck, the truss looks rather short.
