US 60 Verdigris River, Nowata County

The collection of photographs above and below are of the six spans that carry US 60 across the Verdigris river in Nowata County. This bridge was built in 1954 by Oklahoma Paving Co., making it new, as truss bridges go. In design, this bridge is very similar to the OK 51 bridge across the same river. Like that bridge, this one consists of a 210' K-Parker truss and five 100-foot Pony truss spans, three west of the main span; and two east. The bridge has full 12' driving lanes and wide curbs.
