This is the old US 64 bridge across the Arkansas River, at Bixby. It was constructed in 1939. It is made up of 19 100' pony spans. The overall width is about 30'. I should say at this point that OK 1 never crossed here, even though US 64 took its alignment from Tulsa to the Arkansas line. The OK 1 and original US 64 crossing was 1 mile east of here. This earlier bridge was made up of 110' long through-type spans and was built in 1911. In 1938 two of the spans collapsed. You may read more about this in this article. The piers and south abutments of this earlier single lane crossing still exist.
