US 177 Across Black Bear Creek

Located in Noble county about 16 miles north of Stillwater, is this 160' K-truss bridge. The portals have been repaired and so have the approach guards, but the bridge has been well maintained and painted yellow. This bridge was built in 1939 and is 450 feet in overall length.

The approaches are steel stringer spans of unmeasured length. The concrete 'fence' guards have been replaced with solid ones to make the bridge look more modern.

Below, a shot thru the bridge from deck level, looking north.

And finally, a close shot from the north looking south. This bridge is a standard design seen throughout the state.
