Built in 1933 this set of three 80-foot Parker pony spans was widened sometime in the late 1950's or early 1960's to accommodate a 28-foot wide deck. The overall 28' The total length of the seven spans is 348 feet. The view above, is looking south. The bridge stands on the north edge of Olustee.

Above, a view of the trusses. You can see how they reused the existing narrow piers. The piers look like they were built to accommodate a 22 foot wide bridge originally.

Below, view of the trusses and approach spans. The guard rail used on the approaches was the standard design for highway bridges built in Oklahoma in the late 50's and early 60's. This bridge demonstrates the way in which old bridges would be modernized by upgrade rather than replacement, a course of action rarely used, unfortunately, today.
