Unnamed Creek Bridge, Coal County

Located near Clarita on a dead-end east-west road, this 40-foot riveted Warren pony truss straddles a small creek. Records give a date of 1930 for the small span. Above, a view looking through the span. Below, the bridge as viewed from the side.

Above, a deck view of the truss. This span is simply built and uses no lacing.

Below, this bridge had been recently inspected, and points of interest to the inspector were highlighted with orange paint. We noticed rather oddly, that the points where the guardrail brackets had been torched off were highlighted.

Below, another view of one of the trusses.
